Benefits of Volunteering at Baden

- Free Training - Nationally Recognized Training provided through the Prince Georges County Fire/EMS Department and Maryland Fire & Rescue Institution that is eligible for College Credits. All fire and EMS training available including EMT, Paramedic.
- Live-In Program - Become a Live-In Member! Must be off probation, have training certifications, and participation required.
- State of Maryland Tax Credit - After three years of active service, you are eligible for a $7,000 income tax credit.
- Length of Service Award Program - Prince George's County has established a Volunteer Retirement Program. Once you obtain 25 years of active service and reach age 55, you will receive a retirement check each month.

Types of Membership
- Operational Member- Actively performs in emergency situations and provide help to the community
- Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician
- Emergency Medical Technician
- Administrative Member- Perform administrative duties around the firehouse (fund raisers, banquet hall set up, outdoor pavilion/softball field maintenance, paperwork etc)
- Ladies Auxiliary- Perform duties in preparing meals for hall rentals, provide catering serverices, provide canteen services for fire/EMS incidents, etc.
Requirements
(Operational Members and Administrative Members)
- Must be 16 years of age
- Pass a criminal background check
- Pass a physical and drug screening (operational member only)
